Because you’re so smooooooooooth

So, as some of you may know, I have been going to the gym, but I have also been feeling a little lacking in energy and I thought the too might be related. I realised that it’s important to give your body fuel to exercise, rather than eating the same and exercising like a crazy. So, what’s better than a fruit smoothie?


To make your delicious smoothie, you will need: some natural fat-free yoghurt, some tinned sliced peaches (or fresh ones, but they are quite expensive at the moment because they’re out of season), a ripe banana, fresh strawberries and some fresh smooth orange juice.


Firstly, you need to prep all of your ingredients. So, you’ll need to chop the banana, the peaches and de-stork and chop the strawberries.


Put 125ml of yogurt, a splash of orange juice into your smoothie make or blender. Then, put each of your fruit in and whiz each time before putting the next. Blend nicely under it is a smooth salmon colour.


Serve, and ice if you want it to be nice and cold. Et Voila! Haha!

You will be surprised how much better you will feel after this, and it’s a great one to get started with – then you can get creative and make your own recipes up. If you don’t like an ingredient – for example, yoghurt, you can use almond milk or soya milk and semi-skimmed milk – the amount of fruit is the important thing! :)

Enjoy your smoothies and get going on your 5-a-day! I think we all forget how important it is to fit in good food, especially when bad food is so much easier to get hold of!
