So, for the last couple of days, I have been trying to treat my body a little bit better. I wanted to do this for a lot of reasons, but I suppose the main one is that summer is coming and I wanted to feel a bit nicer in my summer dresses etc. There have been areas of my life that my weight has suffered a little bit, and I don’t want the fact that I have nothing to do for such a length of time to be one! So, here’s the plan:
I am going to try and eat more fruit. Fresh fruit that will help my body to speed up its metabolism. So far I have eaten a lot of berries, which as you probably already know are a super food, but this is just the beginning. I want my dinners to improve and I am going to cut out all fast food and junk food, as I didn’t realise, but I actually do eat quite a lot of it!
So, I have found some amazing looking dinners thanks to some blog stalking and thought I would share them with you, just in case you wanted to join in too. The first recipe is for some roasted balsamic sweet potato, which is the perfect recipe for knowing what to have to go with your main bit of dinner. The next one, I clicked on thinking that it was some sort of healthy lasagna recipe, it’s spinach and feta clafoutis! Doesn’t it look amazing? I am definitely going to give this a try! If you are looking for some more inspiration cooking ideas, try googling ‘Closet Cooking’. It’s a pretty awesome website and has some of the tastiest treats I’ve ever seen!
Of course, water is also very very important and I really don’t drink enough of it! In case you are unsure about the amount that you should be drinking too, I have found this little illustration for you to help you work it out. I think that as long as you start drinking more water, it’ll become a new habit, and it’s not really a bad one to have. Even if you try to drink just 2 more glasses than you drink at the moment, then that’ll do your body the world of good. I am really rather naughty and go all day on a carton of ribena, which means that I then store water when I eat. Not cool.
Anyway, I hope that this has at least inspired you to pick up an apple instead of a chocolate bar. Still have chocolate, obviously, just not as much. I know need some advice on what exercise to do to help me, so if you have any tips or tricks, let me know :)
Peace and love, Polly May xx
