So, today was definitely the start of something new and fabulous – It was my first day at my first ever teaching position as an actual grown up teacher haha! I met some of my class, got given my register (stickers are currently being made) and met the lovely staff. They are all so friendly and happy to help which is always nice. It was really good to see the children in their environment and when they came in at 8:50, they came running in asking ‘is the new teacher here? Is she starting today’? So Sweet. I was told I was pretty, asked if I smoked (yuck, no!) and kissed on the hand by a really sweet little boy who got up out of his wheelchair and came to say ‘hello’ to me. Adorable. This will hopefully be as good as I hope it will be and I will be very happy there. I don’t see why not :)
On another note, did you see The Rolling Stones headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Saturday night? I just that they were just incredible. My sister was lucky enough to be there, however, I couldn’t have handled the mud and the smelliness, so I watched it in my PJ’s with a new cup of tea (so rock and roll! Haha!) So amazing – it’s crazy and really rather impressive when you consider their age and the performance that they are still capable of giving 100,000 people. Just goes to show the level of talent they really have. Insane.
Anyway, my week is looking pretty good if it carries on like today :)
Peace and love, Polly May xx
